  5. PianoSim 1.0 introduction:

  7. Here is a new software called PianoSim 1.0 I created for the Macintosh. It's
  8. a music instrument simulation with full music input and edit ability. You
  9. can use mouse click (sweep) or keystroke to play music real time. You can
  10. choose your favorite instrument from a panel of choices, including piano,
  11. bell, flute, guitar, sax... You can record your performance in real time
  12. and save it as a file for future playback. The software has a full featured
  13. editor, so you can edit and modify your performance. You can also just input
  14. your favorite music and save it as a record, for future playback and
  15. entertainment. The time duration of each note is accurate up to one tick
  16. (1/60 sec), the music symbol shown doesn't change the exact time duration
  17. embedded. You can control sound volume, play back speed (tempo), and pitch
  18. of all the piano keys within two octave. You can personalize your
  19. computerkey-pianokey correspondence and save your setting.
  20. Several of my favorite music is provided, including Fur Elise, love story,
  21. and a few Christmas carols. If you enter your favorite records, I'd love
  22. to have a copy if you are willing to offer (if you don't like the record
  23. to be included in future updates, please say so, I will honor your request).
  24. The software can be fun for adult as well as for child. I'd be very happy
  25. to know if you like it and have a good time with it.
  26. PianoSim 1.0 is distributed as shareware, and ask for $25 shareware fee. But
  27. if you REALLY couldn't afford it, send me any amount you prefer. I could have
  28. asked for less, but as a poor grad student and currently looking for job, I need
  29. all the help I can get now to get over this difficult time. Registered
  30. user will receive a Thank You letter together with registration code to
  31. personalize your copy, and receive any future updates free. The software is
  32. not protected, please only distribute unregistered copies.
  33. PianoSim 1.0 currently requires Color QuickDraw, so it will not run on
  34. Mac Plus, SE, Classic. Future updates may have this ability. It╒s tested
  35. on MacII, IIcx, IIx, IIsi, IIci, IIfx, Quadra 700, under system 7 and 6.0.5 up.
